Okay, I really can't choose between these two. There are a few BSC books that I have only read once, some of them were so long ago that I can't really make a judgment call. I read these two for the first time in the past couple of years.
I actually can usually identify with Mallory (other than the whole oldest of eight kids, thing), but she was so obnoxious and annoying, and a BRAT that it drove me nuts.
Same pretty much goes for Abby in Abby the Bad Sport. I mean, she's mean to a girl who's mentally handicapped...
Or something like that. It's been awhile since I've read the book.
I normally LIKE Abby, but I couldnt' stand her in this one.
