I had the same reaction! Those covers have stripped away about half the fun of Baby-sitters Club--mocking the covers!

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to redo the covers now, as opposed to ten years forward or ten years back? So many of us are doing 80s fashion. Leggings, oversized tops, animal print. Redoing the BSC club without changing too much should be a snap!
I wonder if Hodges Soileau is rolling over in his grave (OK, he's not dead).
I don't mind the covers so much, although it's kind of mean that the book that's heavily about Stacey's diabetes features a cupcake on the cover. It should at least have one of those red circles with a line through it. :D

The cover maker of Stacey's book could have at least had her dreaming about wanting the cupcake. Still, nothing but a cupcake without a strike out symbol on her book is pretty funny! :p
Oops, I didn't specify enough. I meant Stacey dreams of the cupcake in her sleep.
And probably cuddling a stuffed pig toy. Her wall decorated with 'I <3 Math' and Empire State building posters.

I'm so excited - I used to love these books but chucked them all out when I decided I was too cool for them. :(
Now I'll be able to buy them again!! :D
And I can't see anything wrong with the new covers - they're gorgeous!
